Jacobins monastery: eight centuries of history
The spectacular monastery of the Jacobins, is a jewel of medieval art and a major example of southern Gothic architecture. A wealth of refinement and grace lies beneath the seemingly austere exterior, and the monastery houses relics of Saint Thomas of Aquinas. Its cloister, built between 1307 and 3010, depicts the Garden of Eden and Paradise. A true haven of peace in the heart of Toulouse.
